As a student in the M.A. in Spanish program at SLU-Madrid, you will gain a generalist foundation in Spanish Peninsular and Latin American literature, as well as in the area of teaching and applied linguistics. The program will do more than immerse you in the Spanish language and its cultures; it will provide you with tools to achieve high standards of literary scholarship along with an appreciation of the cultural and historical events which have shaped Spain, the Americas and their artistic and literary movements.
The program is designed for holders of a B.A. in Spanish or a related field, language educators and literary scholars.
